Words of Sri Anandamayi Ma
Nirmala Devi or, Sri Ma as she was locally known, was born "awake"
that is, fully conscious of her spiritual reality. Although she never
read nor wrote, she was visited by thousands upon thousands of educated
masses seeking her guidance and divine knowledge. Being a woman in a
very restrictive part of India during the 19th and early 20th century
would have been a challenge by any standard. Yet, her very nature and
constant mantra of "only ONE God as, in, and through all things"
endeared her to her native land as well as the western world. The text
above is a compilation assembled by a long time devotee.
